Alpine Skiing - Moderated

Alpine point system

Can someone explain this: you get less FIS points the closer you come to
first place. But this translates into higher points for the Overall and
Discipline standings.

How do you get from Fis to Overall points? I've looked at today's Sölden
results and I see they're correlated, but don't see any obvious mathematical
formula.

You should try the helicopter. You can be there in 10 minutes instead
of 15. Way worth the $800.

Could be. Could very well be.
